Everybody’s anti-something these days. And it’s my observation that that people respond poorly to those who tack the “anti” prefix to whatever topic it is that they’re opposed to. These people are always verbal, but rarely heard or catered to. Has anybody noticed this?
I think it’s because when someone says they’re anti-(fill in the blank), it means they take a strongly pessimistic stance towards something, and people don’t respond to that kind of negativity. The only thing I’m “anti” are the people who say they’re “anti” stuff. How about everybody chills out? Life is what you make it, so make it positive. Doesn’t matter if you’re dealt a crappy hand; it’s how you play the cards. Yeah, that’s a poker reference.
Maybe This is as simple as wording your agenda differently, like instead of being “anti” something, be “pro” the opposite of whatever it is.
Positivity will get you a long way in life. And nobody likes a cynic.
